7 months old

My baby girl continues to grow and steal my heart more each day. She turned 7 months old this weekend. She is starting to like her baby food more, although still hates fruit would rather have veggies. She is sitting up pretty good and smiles all the time. She talks a lot (just like her Daddy) and has discovered she can make lots of fun noises with her tongue!

Artwork

These are two of my favorite pieces of art from this school year so far. Jack loves to draw people and comes home regularly with pictures of our entire family including Luke.

Hayden drew a picture of him and Mrs. Cornick. Although I should point out that in reality, Mrs. Cornick's head is very well proportioned to her body!

Good-bye Cast

Jerry's cast was cut off for the last time on Monday. Of course he wasn't as excited about it as I had expected following his appointment. While cutting off the cast the lady cut him so it wasn't the best experience however he is very glad to be out of that confinement. He had surgery yesterday to remove the two pins in his wrist (which have been referred to as "pencils" and "swords" by the boys) and began physical therapy today. We finally feel like he is on the road to recovery as he begins to rebuild his strength and regain mobility in his right wrist.

On the night Jerry got his cast off Hayden prayed "Thank you God for making Daddy better and getting his cast off and thank you that his other arm is not broken!" Through the eyes of a 5 year old!

Prayers

Each night at dinner and before bed the boys are in the routine of praying. At times, we wonder what will they pray for next! These are some of my favorites.

"Dear God, thank you for me. The end" Jackson

"Dear God, Please help me have a good day at school and help me to make more friends" Hayden (following his first day of preschool)

"Dear Lord, please help Dad to get rid of his attitude and so he can quit being mean to us" Hayden (after getting in trouble for not listening numerous times)

6 months old

Katelyn Dawn, it's hard to believe you came into this world 6 months ago. I feel like I have loved you for a lifetime. You have a smile that can melt my heart. I love the way you laugh at your brothers and the funny faces you make when you are eating. I love the way you get so excited when you see me or smile when you hear my voice. I love the way you look at your Daddy. I am so excited to watch you continue to grow and learn new things. You are my beautiful baby girl. You are truly a blessing in our lives.

Hayden's 1st day of Preschool

Hayden was excited and a little nervous on his first day of preschool. He was a little bored with all the pictures that I insisted on taking!

He looks so grown up!

He found his place at the table and was ready to get started.

After the first day he came home and was so excited because he had made a new friend. I am so excited to see how much he will change this year.

Labor Day

We found a new park behind Bass Pro where the boys found a lot to keep them busy. The climbing rock was Hayden's favorite.

Katelyn enjoyed watching the boys from her stroller.

Beautiful day with my beautiful family!

Tatoos

Jackson recently discovered the excitement of tatoos following two recent birthday parties. He insisted on putting one on each arm and wanted more (I limited it to two!) Thankfully I limited it because these things are not coming off!

He is VERY proud!
