Ugly Bug Ball

Jackson's preschool held their annual Ugly Bug Ball today.  It is such a fun day for the kids and the parents.  Lots of dancing, songs, games and of course, plenty of sugar!

Nature Walk

We have had some beautiful fall weather lately.  Last weekend the kids and I took advantage of the nice weather and went on a nature walk at Burr Oak Woods.  I was so mad I forgot my camera, so these pictures aren't very good because they were taken with my phone. The boys had a great time looking for leaves and acorns.  They were very interested in the different types of trees out there.  It was a great reminder of all the beauty God had given us to enjoy.

Fall Party

Friday was Hayden's fall party at school.  I was one of the head room moms so I wanted to make sure everything went as planned.  I was in charge of the game.  Jerry used his hidden creative talents to make this great looking bean bag toss.

The kids all seemed to have a great time and there was plenty of sugar to go around, so it appears the party was a success.

Sleeping Beauty

I fixed Kate's dinner and went into the bedroom for just a couple minutes and walked out to find this.  Poor baby didn't get her nap today!

Prayers for Henry

I have recently been touched by the story of Baby Henry.  Henry is only 7 days old and has already had open heart surgery.  Henry is the nephew of a friend of mine from high school.  Strangely enough, Henry has the same last name as me, but no relation.  To read his full story and follow his journey go to http://www.hopeandhealingforhenry.blogspot.com/.  Please keep Henry in your prayers.  He has a long road to recovery.

Halloween crafts

I really miss having time to be creative. I wish I could spend hours every day on crafts (my dream job!) Back to reality where I have a full time job, 3 kids and one on the way!  However, this weekend I was finally able to spend a little time doing what I love.

My first project were these Jack O Lanterns

They were so easy and my kids love them! I found this idea here.  She has lots of other great ideas too!

My 2nd project was turning my 79 cent thrift store bargain into a Halloween decoration.

I spray painted this pink bucket orange and used my cricut to cut the vinyl.  I was reminded again how much I LOVE my cricut! I am hoping to put it work this holiday season on many more projects.  I have several more ideas, it's just finding the time.

Bears vs. Giants

Sunday night football is always a big deal in our house, but this week it was even more important.  This week it was Giants vs. Bears.  Jerry is die hard Bears fan and Jack has joined in.  Hayden on the other hand, have developed a love for Eli Manning which therefore now makes him a Giants fan.  So for a few hours, we were a house divided!

Unfortunately Jerry & Jack didn't have much to cheer for this game.  The Giants won ending the Bears undefeated streak.  Hayden was excited!

Smiles

These three faces make me smile!
