Mother's Day

This Mother's Day found me missing my mom more than usual.  I don't know if it is the fact I have another beautiful grandbaby that she will never hold, or the fact that Kate's surgery is quickly approaching and I am not doing well with that, or if it is just the fact that I miss hearing her voice.  Whatever the reason, today brought some tears.  These are two pictures of our family.  They bring back happy memories.  I know God has a plan.  I will never know why He chose to take her so early, but I know that "He works all things together for good to those who love Him" I will rest assured in that promise and look forward to the day I get to see her again.

Mother's Day also brought joy as I celebrated with my own children.  Jerry cooked french toast for breakfast and then we went to church.  Unfortunately after church, Katelyn came down with a stomach bug and started barfing.  My wonderful husband cleaned it up all three times without even complaining (that was the bonus to her getting sick on Mother's Day!) I was showered with cards, a plate that Jackson wrote on, sunglasses, a beautiful necklace with kids names (which I may or may not have ordered myself) and numerous "gifts" through out the day from the boys such as pirate tokens, stray balls, and marker caps!  We ended the day with watching "Tangled" Overall, I had a fantastic day.  I feel very fortunate that God has trusted me with four beautiful children and has allowed me to be a Mother.  It is such an honor.

I had plans to have pics taken with the kids to post but plans changed.  No time before church. Barfing 2 yr old after church.  So no mom and kid pics for this Mother's Day!
